Hi, we’re jen and cody!
Thank you for considering us for your adoption plan! We look forward to meeting you!
We were both born in 1985 with Cody coming from a small farming town and Jen from the city.
Jen comes from a family with her mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and a niece. She also has a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cody comes from a family with his mom, dad, sister brother-in-law, niece and nephew.
Jen went to UW-Platteville and Cody went to UW-Stout for our engineering degrees. Jen became a Traffic Safety Engineer and has been with the same company for 16 years. Cody is a Design Engineer for a towing equipment company and has been with that company for 19 years.
We met in 2018 through an online dating site and lost track of time on our first date to point we spent 4 hours talking without knowing it! We got engaged in 2019 and married in August of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic which made an interesting start to our marriage!
Hobbies are a great way of spending time and we both have a variety we enjoy. Jen enjoys reading, baking, playing with the dogs, attending renaissance fairs and making her own chainmail jewelry. Cody works with his hands and has a burgeoning blacksmith business along with enjoying cooking, reading, collecting and video games.
We have been on a long journey to have a child since we got married and our journey has brought us to adoption. We have so much love to give to a child!
our pets
We have two dogs, Trish and Daisy. They are our constant companions and our little sweethearts.
Trish is a rescue pup from Texas and Daisy is a corgi. Both are great with kids and enjoy playing with each other. They love to run and play in our large fenced in backyard.
They do have run of our house and are part of the family. Trish likes to sleep in bed with us and Daisy prefers to sleep on her bed on the floor.

OUR VILLAGE
As the old saying goes “it takes a village to raise a child” and we have an amazing village that supports us. Between family and friends, we always have someone to help out when we need it.
We regularly enjoy time with our families for get-togethers, cookouts, time at the cabin and even just a run to get some ice cream to enjoy the evening.
